Bad Haircut?

A very nice lady from our church runs the tiny little beauty shop here in my tiny little town. I take my children there for their haircuts, and go myself when I need a trim. This last time I decided to let her layer my usually shoulder length hair to "give it more body". My problem is that I think it looks bad, and I don't know how to fix it without possibly damaging my relationship with the hairdresser. I don't really know much about fashion or style. Beauty in general is not my metier. Maybe it looks fine, and I'm just being a prol. But what if other people think I look as odd as I feel, and are just too polite to say so? Actually, that would be something I've always wondered on general principles, but that's beside the point.

Oh no. My baby is awake, and her nap wasn't half as long as it ought to be. That means psycho child until bedtime. I guess I'd better go do my patience homework for today.

Well,at least it will grow back. Today the boys learned that hair grows 1/2 an inch every month.

But the too long parts will still be longer than everything else. Still crooked, just longer. (1/2 inch by Thanksgiving and 1 inch by Christmas)

I rarely get my haircut. When I do it is mass inches. The last two times I have gone to a shoulder length with layers. It is so different from the norm for me. It requires a flat iron for it to look great. Air dry and it looks ok. Perhaps it takes more maintenance than you are used to. Maybe you should give it some time before you decide.

Just wanted to say and I saw Kristina posted you on her blog. I am aka... mighty minnie (veronica).
As far as the hair cut goes.. you should really see mine... it has improved but before I disliked it so much. I have not gone back to the girl who cut my hair merely because .... I am tying to let it grow out. I tend to cut my hair when bored and I kinda tend to get drastic hair cuts... so I go from long to short to short short but right now its recovering and well I CAN honestly say.. its nice just waking up and not having to use a brush... I know that sounds lazy but ... simpilicity is everything right?

I can safely say that I almost always regret any layered cut I ever get...but truthfully, it is probably very "stylish".

I just don't usually like the latest "styles".

ps- i thought your cut looked cute this weekend. you might not like the idea at all but slightly flipping it out would be cute. you use a straight curling iron, or just barely use a regular one....
