Eats, Shoots & Leaves

I've almost finished reading _Eats, Shoots & Leaves_ by Lynne Truss. It's an absolutely hilarious book! I would never have imagined myself laughing out loud at a book about punctuation, but I have while reading this one. I wish I could write her a letter, or sit down and talk with her while drinking a cup of tea. She is an absolutely hilarious writer. This is the style of writing I've always instinctively tried to use, I think, but with much, much less success, of course. I highly recommend this book. If you know me personally, just let me know and I'd be happy to loan you my copy: as soon as I'm finished. There's even a version for children, which I will also happily loan out. (But you have to give it back, because my kids may not be able to sit still for 2 minutes put together, but they will know how to use a semicolon.)

I love all things English, but reading a whole book about punctuation? Not sure I would ever do that. All I need is more information to drive me absolutely crazy when I read books with typos in them!
I'd love to email or IM about having more children! I have a story to our journey, and God is amazing and has a sense of humor. But HE is also our great provider and sustainer. He is the one who brings patience, love, and TONS of forgiveness to our lives. Its just a trust issue. Either you trust that God will provide for His children and never give them more than they can handle, or you don't trust Him. In the area of having as many children as the Lord gives you, it is very, very hard and very, very easy to trust God. (I don't think its a sin not to leave family size up to God, its just a very big spiritual bonus!)
Oh, and I LOVE that we both like Singing In The Rain!

Sounds interesting. I'd like to borrow said books when you are through. ") I've always hated English but since i now have to teach it, my opinion of it has changed.

Yea, it is a funny book. I caught an interview with the author on NPR when it was first published and laughed the whole time.

I saw that book in a catalog somewhere, and was intrigued. Now, I will have to get it...oh, now I remember, I saw a page a day calendar of the book. I am kicking myself now for not getting it.
And, there's a kid's version? Now I have to go get it.
