Silver...huh?

My husband graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Furthermore, we have had the same silverware tray, and the same set of silverware since we were married more than 7 years ago. Yet, somehow.....

What is wrong with this picture, and why has it happened more than once?

Hahahahaha....This is where my husband would say. See, I am not going to help you because I never put things where you want them to go. I have had to bite my tounge many a times and move things when he is not looking. Sometimes all logic is out the door when they help out. Maybe it is there way of trying to get out of doing it. Like he does this on purpose so you won't ask him again because he did it "wrong"

Forgive me, A, but this is just too, too funny. I laughed and laughed. Don't feel too bad. I've opened the silverware drawer at my house before and found that someone was being helpful by dumping the dishwasher silverware baskets into the drawer without regard to the fact that there was a silverware tray at all...in fact you could barely see it peeping out from under the mound of silver.

LOL - thank you for the chuckle - I hope you're not too annoyed with him!

It's the engineer thing again. They can design and build stuff-but when it comes to actually using it....I can hear it now "honey, how do you start the dishwasher?"

All I can say is, this gave me the creeps. At least all the big forks are with the big forks, little with little, etc.

I'm the only one in my family that cares about such things.

Maybe I shouldn't watch Monk anymore. I can relate to him way too much.

On second thought, maybe he did it on purpose, for a joke.

Oh, no, it was no joke. As I said, it's happened before. I can tell by his reaction that it's not a joke.

It took me a minute to see what you were talking about--very funny--and so ironic, huh? Thanks a bunch for my birthday wishes. I do love me a gift--because it really is the thought that counts.

That kind of thing drives me through the ceiling! LOL But, years ago a friend told me I was being selfish by expecting things to be put away where I wanted them to go. And not that it is bad to have a place for everything, but what difference does it make which side of the cupboard the plates go on as long as they are in the right cupboard and we can find them just as easily? Same with the silverware, it is NEVER in the same slot, but of course our drawer doesn't have such an obvious feature for where things go, lol. I guess its just too simple for such a complex brain to figure out!
