Waxing Poetic

We've decided that we need to do better about having family devotions, so tonight was our first night of all four of us sitting together (instead of just one parent with the little ones.) We read a Bible story together and then prayed. Each of us were supposed to pray about something specific that we were thankful for. Here was Zaya's prayer.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the wind that swirls, for the snow that brings water. Thank you for the leaves that fall. Amen. (It's been a very cold, windy, snowish kind of day.)

Then his Daddy said, "OK, Mim, you go read your bedtime story with Mama while Longfellow and I read ours here."

These guys of mine keep me in stitches.

Sounds like a normal sort of little guy to me. Viva el arte.

I think it's very sweet. Zaya is quite observant. Maybe a future in meteorology? A good field to be in when you live in Oklahoma! :)

GOod for you guys. We have been trying to get better about that with our daughter. We need to go down all three of us to say prayers... when usually one of us puts her to bed.

Awwwww.....

That's hilarious!

Hubby and I read The Upper Room each night. Punky is only three, but we have him saying grace before each meal.....and we started nightly prayers.

What a kid! You do know you are in for a loooong 18 years, right? LOL But fun, too.
Blogging will be your release, haha. I wish the kids would let me blog more of their life right now, but those teens, they think it is their life or something.
