Goki's Tragedy
Mim and Goki continue to take the world by storm in their own little way. Yesterday, in the bathroom, Mim informed her daddy that Goki couldn't go pee-pee 'cause he's trapped inside his sailboat. Then she told him she was going to sing a song about it, and ran to the piano.
The song did, indeed, feature Goki trapped in a sailboat, in some urgency. She pounded away at the keys singing unforgettable lyrics like, "Goki in a saaailbooaaaat. "He can't go pee 'cause he's twapped and he's twapped again."
It ended with a driving beat accompanied by chords on each syllable, "He peed in the boat!"
Very heart-warming, and sure to become a top ten some day. I'm so proud of my little composer. Really, what mother wouldn't be touched by such delicate, nay ephemeral words?
We asked Mim last night what Goki looked like, and, after some thought, she said, "He looks like Bobo." We are no farther along, but now we know they're twins.

LOL! how very cute!
Who had to clean the boat out, you or Art? :)
We made Mim clean it out. She's probably the one who locked poor Goki in there to start with!
Oh hee! This story just made my day!
Too funny! I love watching the imaginations of children at work! I remember that I used to "compose" songs while sitting on the potty. That was until I was at my babysitter's and one of the other kids made fun of me. I hope no one makes fun of Mim for letting her imagination roam!
What a great song! A sure hit, but I personally think it needs more cowbell.
I laughed and laughed. I needed that, I think.
Soooo cute and so funny! I had to call my mom and read it to her too, this made my day!
sort of reminds me of another little girl's song:
"I can if I want to, ya know I can!"
And there was more. :)
She's a hoot.
Too funny, she does have quite the imagination.
Poor Goki! He should take lessons from Samuel. He could pee if he was trapped on a sail boat.
One of the potty training sessions I had with him I made him sit on the potty and he did, but then stood up, turned around and peed all over the floor in front of the potty.
But the sit and pee, he's got that.
